My research is focused on applying microfluidic techniques to understand lipid-protein interactions in the context of neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s disease. I use a combination of optical and electrical techniques to assess these interactions, particularly in relation the poorly understood oligomeric intermediate structures of proteins such as α-synuclein. PhD Supervisors: Prof. Tuomas Knowles – Department of Physics/Chemistry and Prof. Ulrich Keyser – Department of Physics

Research Topic: Microfluidic Techniques for Lipid Biophysics
