Admissions - 3rd round interviews

We will be holding a 3rd round of interviews on 5th March, for entry into our Oct 2020 cohort. Please apply by 17 Feb to be considered for shortlisting. See www.nanodtc.cam.ac.uk/apply for more information.

The application deadline for the 3rd review round is 17th Feb 2020.

Interviews will be held on 5th March.

We welcome applicants from across Physical Sciences including Physics, Chemistry, Materials and Engineering. Entry into this prestigious programme is competitive, and will take into account qualifications, aspirations and experience.

The University requirement for entry into a PhD programme is a 3 year degree with a II.1, but most students who are offered admission on the NanoDTC usually have a first class degree with atleast 4 years of training in a relevant subject(s), along with some research experience.

International applicants should refer to this link to find out the equivalent of a first in their country/institution.

Applications for NanoDTC MRes + PhD programme should be made through the standard online Graduate Application Portal for Cambridge University. Please read the graduate prospectus entry for the NanoDTC and the application guide carefully before completing your application.

We do not offer the MRes or PhD components as standalone programmes.

Funding

At this point for Oct 2020 entry we only have studentships (fees + maintenance) available for Home or Home Status (EU students studying in the UK for the past 3 years).
