Research Overview
At a glance
Students at the NanoDTC have the opportunity to pursue highly interdisciplinary research at the forefront of nanoscience and nanotechnology. Working at the boundaries between disciplines, our students tackle exciting and novel research questions that span fundamental science and emerging real-world applications.
Create your own interdisciplinary PhD research project
Each student has two academic supervisors from different departments to ensure interdisciplinary integration in their research. This supervisory structure supports cross-departmental collaboration and exposes students to a broad range of expertise and methodologies.
How it works
Primary supervisors are typically drawn from one of the five departments below.
Secondary supervisors may be selected from a wider network of academics across other departments within the University.
