Andrey is a PhD student in the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy since 2021. His research is focused on investigating the plasmonic properties of magnesium based nanostructures. Andrey works on surface-enhacned Raman spectroscopy (SERS) studies, STEM-EDS and STEM-EELS analyses, and air-free fabrication of magnesium nanostructures.

Research topic: Sensing Applications of Earth-Abundant Plasmonic Nanostructures

PhD supervisor: Prof. Emilie Ringe
