My research was focused on applying microfluidic techniques to understand lipid-protein interactions in the context of neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s disease. I used a combination of optical and electrical techniques to assess these interactions, particularly in relation the poorly understood oligomeric intermediate structures of proteins such as α-synuclein.
