Larry studied Nanoscience, Physics and Chemistry of Advanced Materials in Trinity College Dublin. During this he used nanoelectrochemical methods to study electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction. His interests broadly lie in using in situ and operando techniques to study energy technolgies
