I graduated with a degree in Physics before studying the MPhil in Nanotechnology here in Cambridge. During this time I worked in the Electrical Devices and Materials group to devise a rapid, simple, and scalable method of electrically characterising nanomaterials. After graduating, I applied these nanofabrication skills in industry to develop thin films for more feasible imaging at the molecular level.
I’m now part of the CDT in Photonic and Electronic Systems, working on integrated photonic and electronic subsystems at both Cambridge and UCL. I’m currently investigating high-speed modulation with quantum dots, combining device physics, materials science, and nanofabrication with electrical systems and ultra-fast photonics to improve our communication and data-transfer systems.
