Mark Carrington
Miller Fellowship
Mark Carrington is a PhD student in the Department of Chemistry working under the joint supervision of Professors Clare Grey and Oren Scherman. His work involves the use of experimental and theoretical techniques for the development of redox-active organics relevant to large-scale energy storage. Prior to his PhD, he conducted work in five scientific research groups, two multinational engineering corporations, and a UN specialised agency covering topics in energy ranging from fundamental materials research to technology transfer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Stanford and master’s degree from Cambridge. PhD Supervisors:Prof. Clare Grey– Department of Chemistry and Prof. Oren Scherman– Department of Chemistry
Research Topic: Battery development for grid-scale energy storage
