Dr. Taylor Uekert
Circular Economy Research Analyst at National Renewable Energy Laboratory
Research Topic: Solar-driven hydrogen generation from waste
Reisner Lab
Taylor studied Nanoengineering at the University of California San Diego before joining the NanoDTC in 2016. For her PhD she investigated the solar-driven production of hydrogen fuel from plastic waste under the supervision of Prof. Erwin Reisner, and was also heavily involved in public engagement and science communication initiatives. Taylor looks to build a career in the renewable energy or sustainability sectors. PhD Supervisors: Prof. Erwin Reisner– Department of Chemistry, Prof. Neil Greenham– Department of Physics and Dr. Laura Torrente Murciano – Department of Chemical Engineering
Research Keywords: Photocatalysis, Circular Economy, Solar Fuels, Waste characterisation
